Ratatouille Recipe is one great food to cook.
Rataotuille is a traditional French dish, usually served as a side dish or even served as main dish accompanied by pasta, rice or bread. Many might have watched the very inspiring movie for Cooking lovers " Ratatouille ", about a funny mouse chef. Well, I remembered that movie out of nowhere and wanted to make Ratatouille, no doubt it was great to taste, and here I want to share its recipe.
Ingredients:
- 4 Tomatoes(large and ripe)
- 2 Aubergines (large)
- 2 red Peppers
- 4 Courgettes (Small)
- Basil (small bunch)
- 1 Onion, medium sized peeled and finely chopped
- 3 Garlic cloves , peeled and crushed
- 1 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 5 tbsp Olive Oil
Procedure:
- Cut the aubergines into 1.5 cm chunks.Cut them length-wise first, then cut each long pieces length-wise again and cut them into chunks.
- Cut off the courgettes ends 1.5 cm pieces the same way.
- Cut the peppers into small sized chunks.
- Make a little cut on base of each tomatoes and pour hot water over them and keep it for 30 secs, then put them into a cold water and peel off the skin of tomato.
- Cut the tomatoes in half, throw away the seeds and then chop the remaining flesh.
- Heat a sauté pan in medium heat and put 2tbsp oil in it.
- Put the aubergines on the pan and fry until brown on each side.
- Take the aubergines out and fry courgettes the same way as aubergines.
- Repeat the same with peppers.
- Fry onion in a pan until golden brown and then add garlic to fry for one more minute.
- Stir vinegar and sugar in the pan, and then add the tomatoes and half of basil leaves.
- Add the fried aubergines, courgettes and pepper into the pan.
- Add salt and pepper to taste and cook for another five minutes.
Your Ratatouille is now ready to be served, as a side dish for your dinner.
You may have these Ratatouille with pasta too.
