Chop suey is a wonderful chinese dish, you find in most of the chinese menu. Most of the people probably have had chop suey but never really thought of making some. Here I want to share you a wonderful Easy Chop suey Recipe, so that you can have a Chinese treat in your home cooked all by yourself.
So here is one quick recipe to make Chop Suey.

Ingredients:
- 1/4 Cup Shortening
- 1 1/2 cups diced meat( pork,beef, chicken.. whatever you like)
- 1 cup diced Onion
- 1 cup diced Celery
- 1 cup Water(hot)
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/8 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 can bean sprouts, drained and rinsed (200-300 grams)
- 1/3 cup Cold water
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- Heat shortening in a large, deep skillet.
- Sear meat for a while (5 mins)
- Add onion and saute for 5 minutes.
- Add celery, hot water, salt and pepper.
- Cover skillet and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add sprouts and heat to boiling.
- In a small bowl combine the cold water, cornstarch, soy sauce and sugar. Mix together and add to skillet mixture. Cook for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Your Chop Suey is ready to served.
