Fish and Chips is a very popular American dish, that almost everyone loves, but many might not know how to cook them. Here I will be sharing a Fish and Chips Recipe that is really simple, easy to make. 




So Here is the New England's favorite Fish and Chips Recipe:



Ingredients:
  • 4 Potatoes (peeled and cut into strips)
  • 1 cup plain Flour
  • 1 1/2 pounds Cod fillets
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 tsp Salt
Procedure:
  • Preheat the oil in a large pot.
  • Put cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  • Stir milk and egg into the flour until the mixture is smooth. Let is stand for 20 minutes.
  • Fry the potatoes into the heated oil until they are tender and golden. Drain the oil on paper towels.
  • Dredge the fish in the batter, one piece at a time, and put them them into the hot oil.
  • Fry the fish until it is golden brown. Drain them on paper towel
  • Now fry the "already" fried potatoes for 2-3 minutes to add extra crisp to chips.
